  • 33rd Annual Classic Motorcycle Festival.

The 33rd Annual Classic Motorcycle Festival is now over. What a great weekend of racing, along with fantastic weather. The crowd was treated to a great line-up of beautiful vintage and classic bikes. On Saturday night we were treated to an entertaining, candid and sometimes moving talk at the main marquee by our overseas guest Colin Seeley and Bill Swallow. It is always both a privilege and pleasure listening to these heroes of motorcycling and we will all certainly look forward to next year’s guests. read more...

  • Changes to 250cc Championship for 2012.

A lot has happened since our last issue of the Megaphone, not only in relation to racing but other events that have touched us all. I refer to the massive earthquake in Christchurch, and the Japan earthquake and tsunami with the consequential nuclear reactor problems. From what I can gather our Register members in both locations are safe.

  • Race withdrawals and entry fee refunds

Entrants can get a refund of their entry fees provided they inform the race secretary (email is fine for this – contact nzcmrr.com) anytime up to the day before the race that they are not going to compete. When asking for a refund, please provide the date of the credit card transaction, and the name on the card. We can find the card number to credit the refund to from that information, usually. Of course, notice would be preferred as early as possible, as a courtesy to help with grids and programmes. But we are aware that some people work until the last minute to prepare but strike some problem that cannot be sorted out in time, so we will always have some late notifications.

  • Dogs

No dogs are allowed at any NZCMRR race meeting. The risk of a dog getting out of control and in way of a race machine is not acceptable.

Anyone turning up with a dog will not be permitted access to the meeting.

There will be no exceptions to this rule.
