MOTORCYCLING NEW ZEALAND COMPETITION LICENCE
1 July 2011 to 30 June 2012
Licencing for the new season will commence from the 9th June 2011, your current Motorcycling New Zealand Licence expires on the 30th June 2011; therefore we encourage you to apply for your new licence before your current licence expires. You do not need to send to us your existing licence or log book, we have all of this information on file.
We will not send out renewal forms this year, as the majority of our members renew their licences on line. Forms are available by contacting your Club, on our website www.mnz.co.nz; or alternatively you could telephone our office.
For those who apply on line, licences will be processed within 3 to 4 working days. You must allow 14 working days for the processing of your licence if you apply manually. Should your application form be completed incorrectly the application form will not be accepted it will be returned to you for completion.
If you have forgotten your user name and password you can request this again by following this link http://www.trialscores.com/mnz_p_rider/login.php you must apply for this via the website, these cannot be given out over the telephone.
It is important that as a Competitor you are aware that there are no licence confirmations issued from the office, and there has not been for a number of years now. Competitors must have their licence and current club membership card to compete or they will be required to purchase a one event licence at the event. One event licences cannot be used at Championships or Street Meetings.
Free Licence:
Those aged 65 years and over are entitled to receive a free MNZ competition licence; the application must be made manually. Members aged 70 years and over are not covered by the Personal Accident Insurance of $10,000 for a fatal injury at a MNZ permitted event.
Family Discount:
The family discount is offered to all MNZ families, to take advantage of this discount applications must be made manually. The discounts are:
- 2 members 10%
- 3 members 15%
- 4 members 20%
Redeeming One Event Licences:
A first time applicant may redeem two one event licences for a $30 discount from their MNZ Licence. They must send the two one event licences in with their application. To take advantage of this discount the application must be made manually.
Licence Types:
Full Competition Licence:
A full competition licence allows members to compete at all MNZ permitted events.
The member is also able to compete in Australia with this licence, subject to receiving start permission and having appropriate insurance. More information regarding this can be gained by looking at the MNZ website or contacting the office.
Club Licence:
The club licence is to be used at Club events only. The Club they are a financial member of and advise on the application can be the only club they use this licence with. This Club is printed on the licence.
This licence cannot be used for Championship events.
The member is not restricted to this licence for the complete season. The licence can be upgraded either by:
Going on line and completing the relevant section
Sending the relevant form to the office
Completing the relevant form at the event and handing it to the Steward of the meeting
Associate Membership:
This is designed for those who have an interest in Motorcycling but do not want to partake in competition, or perhaps they would like to complete in one or two Club events per year.
Associate membership gives the member two one event licences, they are entitled to all MNZ benefits and can vote in all elections.
At the recent AGM, licence fee increase was approved in line with inflation. The new fees are;
Senior Full Competition Licence$143.00
Junior Full Competition Licence $143.00
Mini Full Competition Licence $112.00
Club Competition Licence (Snr, Jnr & Mini)$90.00
Associate Member $70.00
