Saturday 18 - Sunday 19 October 2025

Rules: When a competitor enters this meeting they agree with the Event 'Supplementary Rules' and the  'Disclaimer of Liability' on both this entry form and the sign-on sheet.  Part of these state that your bike, is in good condition and complies with the rules relating to the Class it is entered into, and that you will abide by the event rules and MNZ Steward decisions.  NZCMRR Rules can be viewed on the NZCMRR website Technical Rules. MNZ P82, P89 & P95 classes are as defined in the MNZ Rulebook  Chapter 17 Road Racing Post Classic. 

For Competitors and members of the NZSCA- Manfeild is running trackdays for race bikes and ALL sidecars on both Friday October 17!  Pre-registation, through the link Manfeild Test Days is $160 for a full day or $100 for the afternoon. Payment by bank transfer, debit or credit card (credit card 3% fee).  $180 for registration on the day.  Gates open at 8am. Standard 5 x 15-20 minute sessions (based on 4 bike speed speed groups and 1 sidecard group).  Imdemnity forms have to be completed. 9am on track.

Non NZCMRR Member? In order to race with us you can either Print the entry form, complete it, and email to the race secretary at treasurer@nzcmrr.com or you can 'Join NZCMRR' as an Affiliated Member (at no cost).  If you join on-line, once you have entered your information, including your bike, you will exist in the system and just have to log-on, all of your information will be there ready to use. You will also go on our emailing list and be advised of future events etc. If you have any questions, or problems, feel free to email the race secretary. 

Garages: Pit Garages will be able to be booked online with Manfeild at Manfeild Garage Booking or by calling the track on 06 323 7444. 

Camping: Gates open at 8am. On-site camping over the weekend is allowed for this event for competitors and officials on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Manfeild kindly allow NZCMRR participants an exemption from their normal terms, so you can stay onsite in non-self contained vehicles (i.e. vans and tents). BUT everyone who stays on site must be registered.  Please help us preserve this arrangement and register at Event camping Camping will be $10 per person per night (unpowered), or $15 per night (powered). When making your booking, you are required to provide one main contact name, your role if you are an official or volunteer, your phone number, and your email, along with the names of anyone else camping with you.

EVENT ENTRY FEES are $430 NZCMRR North Island members, $330 for Regularity NZCMRR members, $230 for NZCMRR South Island and free for NZCMRR Junior members, MNZ affiliated club members are $480. Transponders are included but you can use your own and if it works all weekend you will get a $30 refund post event.

CHANGE TO PIT MOVEMENTS: we are using the new (mainly one way) system around how bikes enter and exit pitlane at Manfeild at this event. This meetings pit layout does not have specified open pit or stable allocations and some areas are likely to be adjusted for the 2026 Festival.

EVENT SCHEDULE;

Friday, 17th October - Track Day and arrival/set up
8.00am Manfeild track-run track day on Friday 17th. Entries will initially open solely to NZCMRR members, event competitors and all racing sidecars. The track hopes that enough riders will enter so that they will not have to open it to the general public too. They will aim to run four speed groups; Slow, Medium, Fast, and Sidecar. Members may enter a race bike for the track day that is not entered for the Spring Classic. The track day can be booked at Manfeild Test Days.

Sign-on and bike check (in the scrutineering shed) will be available from 3pm - 5pm.  Please bring your MNZ licence/logbood (filled out), and helmet to Sign-on.  If you are not a NZCMRR Full member please also bring proof of your MNZ affiliated club card.

Saturday, 18th October:
7.15-8.30am Sign-on and machine examination
8.30am Rider's briefing
9.00am One round of practice/qualifying (10 mins per race Group)
1 round of racing for Championship points - all classes  (4 Laps for Groups 1,3,5,7 & 8 and 6 Laps for Groups 2,4 & 6)
1 round of NZCMRR Spring Classic trophy races - all classes (6 Laps for Groups 1,3,5,7 & 8 and 8 Laps for Groups 2,4 & 6)
BBQ outside the Car Club Rooms, opposite the scrutineering shed, after the conclusion of the days racing ($5 donation for a sausage and a drink). 

Sunday, 19th October:
8.30am Saturday prizegiving and short rider's briefing
9.00am 3 rounds of racing for Championship points – all classes. (4 Laps for Groups 1,3,5,7 & 8  and 6 Laps for Groups 2,4 & 6)

  1. 351-500cc - Pre '63 500 Clubmans, Factory Racing & Modified, Classic 70's 500 
  2. Post Classic - P82 Senior, P89 F1, P95 SBK, P95 F1 
  3. Vintage, Pre War & 0-250cc - Pre War 350 - Pre '63 250 Clubmans, Factory Racing, Modified & Classic 70's 250 
  4. Post Classic - P89 F2, P95 F2  
  5. Sidecars - Pre '63, Classic 70's, Pre '82
  6. Post Classic - P82 Junior, P89 F2, P89 F3, P95 F2, P95 F3  
  7. 501cc-Open - Pre '63 Open Modified, Classic 70's Open 
  8. 251-350cc - Pre '63 350 Clubmans, Factory Racing, Modified & Classic 70's 350 
  9. Regularity - Regularity at this event is designed to allow new racers the opportunity to learn the track and race lines without the pressure of racing.  Regularity class entrants must wear orange vests and are not eligible for Championship points.  After going out in their nominated practice/qualifying class they will be placed at the back of the grid, in a suitable time group.

SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS

ORGANISER

The meeting is organised by the New Zealand Classic Motorcycle Racing Register Inc. under Motorcycling New Zealand Permit no 21561 and in conjunction with any current Manfeild/Goverment requirements.

RULES

The meeting will be conducted under the Manual of Motorcycle Sport of MNZ, the Technical Rules pertaining to the Classic Register and these supplementary Regulations.  NZCMRR Rules can be viewed on the NZCMRR website Technical Rules. MNZ P82, P89 & P95 classes are as defined in the MNZ Rulebook  Chapter 17 Road Racing Post Classic.

ENTRIES

EVENT ENTRY FEES are $430 NZCMRR North Island members, $330 for Regularity NZCMRR members $230 for NZCMRR South Island  and free for Junior members, MNZ affiliated club members are $480. Transponders are included but you can use your own and if it works all weekend you will get a $30 refund post event. Entries close Thursday 9th October 2025 at 5:00pm for inclusion in the programme. On-line late entries will close on Tuesday, October 14th.  On-the day/late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the Race Secretary, but may incur a $50 late entry fee. 

CROSS ENTERING OF A BIKE IS NOT PERMITTED

When you enter an NZCMRR meeting you can only nominate a bike to compete in one race class.  It will not be permitted to run in any other class.

REGULARITY 

Regularity at this event is designed to allow new racers the opportunity to learn the track and race lines without the pressure of racing.  Regularity class entrants must wear orange vests and are not eligible for Championship points.  After going out in their nominated practice/qualifying class they will be placed at the back of the grid, in a suitable time group.

REFUNDS

Prior to the meeting, any entrant will be given a refund on their entry fee if for any reason attendance over the weekend is not possible. Notification is required in writing-email to the Race Secretary prior to the event Race Secretary.

LICENCE

MNZ competition licence compulsory. No competition licence? One event MNZ licences can be pre-purchased with your entry or on the day at sign-on for $55..

CLUB MEMBERSHIP

Membership of an MNZ affiliated club is compulsory. If you are not a full NZCMRR member you will need to provide proof of you will have to join the NZCMRR at sign-on.

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITORS 

International competitors wishing to compete in an NZCMRR event must notify the race secretary of their intent to race at least one month before the meeting date. International competitors must have Insurance which meets minimum Standards and obtain a Release and Start Permission from their motorcycle Federation and have this sent to MNZ prior to the event being held. If an overseas competitor does not have a licence with their motorcycle Federation please contact admin@mnz.co.nz for more information. 

RACE NUMBERS

In the event of duplicate race numbers then the NZCMRR competitor has the exclusive right of use of that number.  Please refer to Rule 10.2 for number board requirements.

TRANSPONDERS ARE COMPULSORY

You are allowed to use your own MyLaps compatible transponder - please ensure the correct transponder number is listed in your profile.  If your listed transponder works for all of your races you will receive a $30 refund after the event. If you do not have a transponder number listed you will be allocated a club transponder, which is included in the entry fee at this event.  

SIGN-ON, BIKECHECK & EVENT TIMING/GRIDS

Sign-on and bike check is from 3-5pm on Friday 17th October and then from 7:15am until 8.30am on Saturday morning. Riders briefing at 8.30 am and practice/qualifying starts at 9.00am. There is a maximum of 40 bikes allowed on track for a race. Grids and results will be posted in the sign-on office.  Grids remain the same throughout the weekend.  If a competitor does not get a qualifying time and is willing to start from the back of the grid in the Championship events, they just need to let the sign-on office know.

ENTERING & EXITING, PIT LANE

The Pit exit has now moved to the other end of the main pit garages. Competitors shall only exit the pits to the circuit under the control of the Pit lane official and via the pit lane exit only.  You must stay to the left of the blend line until the line ends and you are up to race pace.

Competitors found to be riding the wrong way up or down Pit Lane, or speeding, may be fined or excluded from the meeting.

Entry to the Pit Lane is on the LH side at the start of the front straight. Competitors must move to the far left of the circuit and reduce speed and signal their intentions to leave the track without impeding other competitors in the process. Once committed to entering Pit lane and a competitor has crossed to the inside of the entry blend lines that competitor MUST enter Pit Lane. Entry to the pit lane may also occur under direction of the track Marshalls at the completion of racing, or after a red flag, via the infield slip road just prior to the infield hairpin.

RACE START PROCEDURE 

Once released from Pit Exit, competitors are to line up in their nominated grid position.  Anyone who takes another persons grid position may be given a 20 second penalty.  Starts will be by lights, they will count up to 5 red lights, when they lights go out, you go.  Should the start of the race need to be aborted this will show as flashing yellow lights at start/finish, competitors are to proceed around the circuit, at a safe pace, and return to their pits for further instruction via the PA.

RED FLAG

Under RED FLAG conditions a dangerous situation IS created at this track if you cross the race line to enter PIT LANE before ALL riders have stopped their racing modeIf you do not see the red flag until the last marshal point before start/finish, DO NOT attempt to enter pit lane. Continue around the circuit and come in once you have completed another lap.

NOISE EMISSION

Circuit noise regulations as provided for under Rule 10-6d. All machines are to be effectively silenced so as not to exceed 95dB(A) "ride by" measured by the official meter mounted 30m from the track centre line. Machines registering consistently in excess of the limit will be brought to the attention of the officials for action to be taken as follows: Exceeding 95 but not exceeding 98dB(A): On the first offence during the meeting the rider will be warned that this has occurred and instructed to rectify the situation. For second and subsequent infringements the machine will be black flagged from the race or practice without further warning. Exceeding 98dB(A): The machine will be black flagged from the race or practice without warning. If circumstances don’t allow the machine to be black flagged, the competitor may be excluded from the results of that practice or race. During the course of the event the club will endeavour to post lists of machines and their noise readings to assist competitors efforts in complying with these limits.

RESPONSIBILITY & BEHAVIOUR

Your behaviour, and that of your crew and guests, is a critical part of the success of this meeting.  You are also responsible for them.  Immediate action will be taken when any incident is deemed contrary to this outcome, whether it is on or off the track. All vehicle movements within the pits is to be at slow speed, so that you can stop.  Anyone speeding in the pits may be fined or excluded from the meeting.

ANIMALS

No dogs or pets are allowed at the meeting. No Exceptions.

SMOKING/VAPING & ALCOHOL

Smoking, vaping or consuming alcolhol in the pits until all competitors have exited the circuit for the day is prohibited.

 CAMPING 

On-site camping over the weekend is allowed for this event for competitors and officials on Friday and Saturday nights.  Manfeild kindly allows the NZCMRR competitors and officials to stay onsite in non-self contained vehicles (ie vans and tents).  $10 per competitor/pit crew per night (powered sites are $5 extra per night) Book your site at Event camping When making your booking you are required to provide one main contact name (your role if you are an official or volunteer) phone number and email along with the names of anyone else camping with you.

  12. MNZ supports the FIM/IOC Charter on drugs in Sport. MNZ uses the services of Drug Free Sport NZ and other agencies to professionally carry out the testing. I acknowledge by signing this form I maybe subjected to a drug/alcohol test at any time. I agree to such testing. I further agree that my name can be published by MNZ as having taken part in a drug/alcohol test together with the results of that testing.
  13. I confirm that my machine complies with any technical rule(s) set out in the Manual of Motorcycle Sport and/or the Supplementary Regulations and that, to the best of my knowledge and belief, it is in safe working order and fit for competition.
