- Sign on will be open from 7.15am. Upon arrival please bring your current MNZ competition licence, club membership card (if not a current NZCMRR club member) and helmet to sign on. After sign on take your motorcycle for machine examination at Garages 23/24. Machine examination is from 7.30am. Riders briefing will commence at 8.30am and competitors will be out on track at 9:00am each day.
NZCMRR Technical Rules can be viewed on the NZCMRR website Technical Rules. P82, P89 & P95 race classes are as defined in the MNZ MoMS Chapter 17 - Road Racing Post Classic.

- Vintage & Pre War - Pre '31, Pre '46 350, Pre '46, 0-250cc - Pre '63 250 Clubmans, Pre '63 250 Factory Racing, Pre '63 250 Modified, Classic 70's 250 (4 Laps)
- Post Classic - P89 F2, P95 F2 (6 Laps)
- Sidecars - Pre '63, Classic 70's, Pre '82 (4 Laps)
- Post Classic - P82 Junior, P89 F2, P89 F3, P95 F2, P95 F3 (6 Laps)
- 501cc-Open - Pre '63 Open Modified, Classic 70's Open (4 Laps)
- 251-350cc - Pre '63 350 Clubmans, Pre '63 350 Factory Racing, Pre '63 350 Modified, Classic 70's 350 (4 Laps)
- Regularity - Regularity at this event is designed to allow new racers the opportunity to learn the track and race lines without the pressure of racing. Regularity class entrants must wear orange vests and are not eligible for Championship points. After going out in their nominated practice/qualifying class they will be placed at the back of the grid, in a suitable time group.
Note: Some race groups or classes may be combined depending on entry numbers.

EVENT INFORMATION: This meeting will be on the National Track
The Club will be subsidising the entry fee for this event this time. To cover the increased/new costs entries should now be in the $550 region for a 2 day meeting at Taupo.
We will still offer camping on site for Friday and Saturday nights only. All campers must pre-register and pay. Trailers may be left on site but all other vehicles remaining on site overnight must be registered for camping. Campers pay $50 per vehicle per night to stay unpowered ($50 powered site surcharge). Over night, track supplied, security is now mandatory and is costing the club $1700 + GST so hopefully enough people make use of this to justify the cost . The track has allowed NZCMRR an exception from their normal registration form terms – sleeping in a motorhome, van or caravan is allowable but no tents; self-contained vehicles are preferred. - 9.00am 1 round of qualifying/practice. 10 minutes pr race group.
- 2 rounds of racing for Championship points - all classes. 4 Laps racing for Classic & Sidecar Groups 1, 3, 5, 7 & 8. 6 Laps racing for Post Classic Groups 2, 4 & 6
- BBQ arter racing. Gates shut at 6pm.
Sunday 14th September 2025
- 8.30am Riders Briefing
- 9.00am 2 rounds of racing for Championship points – all classes. 4 Laps racing for Classic & Sidecar Groups 1, 3, 5, 7 & 8. 6 Laps racing for Post Classic Groups 2, 4 & 6
- 1 round of combined racing without Championship points – all classes.
- Please return your transponder, collect your licence and ensure you vacate the site soon after the end of racing.
SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS
ORGANISER
The meeting is organised by the New Zealand Classic Motorcycle Racing Register Inc. under Motorcycling New Zealand Permit no 21525
RULES
The meeting will be conducted under the Manual of Motorcycle Sport (MoMS) of MNZ, the Technical Rules pertaining to the Classic Register and these supplementary Regulations.
ENTRIES
Entry fees are: NZCMRR current Club Members: $430.00 for current Seniors, $230 for SI members and Free for NZCMRR Junior (under 18), Regularity $300 The regularity class, at this event, is designed to allow new NZCMRR racers the opportunity to gain confidence, learn the track and race lines without the pressure of racing. After going out in their nominated practice/qualifying class they will be placed at the back of the grid, in a suitable time group. Regularity class entrants must wear orange vests and are not eligible for Championship points. MNZ Affiliated (non-NZCMRR member) $490. Plus the Taupo IMP Mandatory H&S Levy of $34.75.
Entries close Thursday 5th September at 5:00pm for inclusion in the colour programme. If you have any problems entering on-line please contact race@nzcmrr.com or give Cheryl a call 0276715187. Late entries will be accepted at the discretion of the Race Secretary where possible, but may incur a late entry fee. On-the-day entries will incur a $50 on-the-day fee.
Refunds: Prior to the meeting, entrants will be given a refund of their entry fee if for any reason attendance over the weekend is not possible. Notification is required in writing, to race@nzcmrr.com, as early as possible prior to the event.
TRANSPONDERS ARE COMPULSORY
You are allowed to use your own MyLaps compatible transponder - please ensure the correct transponder number is listed in your profile. If your listed transponder works for all of your races you will receive a $20 refund after the event. If you do not have a transponder number listed you will be allocated a club transponder, which is included in the entry fee at this event.
LICENCE
MNZ competition licence is compulsory. No competition licence - no ride. One event licences can be pre-purchased with your entry $35.
CLUB MEMBERSHIP
Membership of an MNZ affiliated club is compulsory. Non NZMCRR club members must provide proof or they will be required to join the NZCMRR.
INTERNATIONAL COMPETITORS
International competitors will only be able to compete if they have obtained an MNZ licence and clearance as per MoMS rule 5.4. MNZ One Event Licences cannot be used by International Competitors.
RACE NUMBERS
In the event of duplicate race numbers then the NZCMRR competitor has the exclusive right of use of that number.
CROSS ENTERING OF A BIKE IS NOT PERMITTED
A race bike can only be nominated in one race class at any race meeting.
TIMING - SIGN ON, MACHINE EXAMINATION, RIDERS BRIEFING & ON-TRACK
Sign-on 7.15-8.30am is located on the ground floor, under the control tower. Machine Examination 7.30-8.30am is located at garages 23/24 (below sign-on). Solo machines & Sidecars must comply with the requirements in Chapter 10, and sidecars must also comply with the requirements in Chapter 18, of the MoMs. Riders Briefing 8.30am Listen to the PA for call and location. On-track 9am.
ENTERING & EXITING THE CIRCUIT, PIT LANE
Competitors shall only exit the pits to the circuit via pit lane exit and under the control of the Pit lane exit official. Competitors must stay to the right of the blend line until it ends and you are up to race speed. Competitors found to be riding the wrong way up or down Pit Lane may be fined or excluded from the meeting. Entry to the Pit Lane is at the beginning of the front straight. Competitors must move to the far right of the circuit, reduce speed, and signal their intentions to leave the track without impeding other competitors in the process.
GRIDS & GRID POSITIONS
There is a maximum of 40 bikes allowed on track for a race. The first 40 bikes entered into a race group will have preference. Any additional entries will be contacted with possible options. The weekend's grid positions/layout plan will be displayed with the timing results in the documentation room as soon as possible after each event. Know your grid position BEFORE going on track to race. There are no on-track crew to assist your correct placement. Anyone found to be lining up in the incorrect grid position will incur a 20 second time penalty.
EXCEEDING TRACK LIMITS
All competitors will remain within the track lines when moving through the chicane and onto the back straight. Any rider that is observed to be consistently exceeding the track limits, will be given a time penalty which will be determined by the number of times the rider exceeds the track limits within their race. All decisions regarding penalty will be at the discretion of race officials as per MNZ Rule 7.4.1.
NOISE EMISSION
Circuit noise regulations as provided for under Rule 10-8a. All machines are to be effectively silenced so as not to exceed 95dB(A) "ride by" measured by the official meter mounted 30m from the track centre line. Machines registering consistently in excess of the limit will be brought to the attention of the officials for action to be taken as follows: Exceeding 95 but not exceeding 98dB(A): On the first offence during the meeting the rider will be warned that this has occurred and instructed to rectify the situation. For second and subsequent infringements the machine will be black flagged from the race or practice without further warning. Exceeding 98dB(A): The machine will be black flagged from the race or practice without warning. If circumstances don’t allow the machine to be black flagged, the competitor may be excluded from the results of that practice or race. During the course of the event the club will endeavour to post lists of machines and their noise readings to assist competitors efforts in complying with these limits.
ANIMALS
No dogs or pets are allowed at the meeting. No Exceptions.

I acknowledge by signing this form I maybe subjected to a drug/alcohol test at any time. I agree to such testing. I further agree that my name can be published by MNZ as having taken part in a drug/alcohol test together with the results of that testing.
- I confirm that my machine complies with any technical rule(s) set out in the Manual of Motorcycle Sport and/or the Supplementary Regulations and that, to the best of my knowledge and belief, it is in safe working order and fit for competition.
