Race withdrawals and entry fee refunds

Entrants can get a refund of their entry fees provided they inform the race secretary (race that they are not going to compete anytime up to the day before the race.
Notice would be preferred as early as possible as a courtesy to help with grids and programmes.

  • Summer APS Classic at Hampton Downs - Feb Event postponed due to weather

    This is the replacement date for our rain induced 'too unsafe to run' - postponed February meeting.   

    Those who completed One Event Licences will have these held over to the alternate date & those who prebooked garages with Hampton will have these carried over too.  

    HD Run Moto Track Days prior to this event:  Sunday July 21st and Friday August 9th  

    These events will appear on the HD Moto Track Day website, normally 3 months prior to the event.  For HD Moto Experience track days a chicane has been added into the track. It is in place to help wash off speed prior to coming down the main straight.  If you have not done any HD Trackdays you will be required to go in with the Red Group for at least one session.  This is not a race test day but a standard Track day. Walk-ins will not be accepted at Hampton trackdays, only pre-booked customers.

    • Sign on and machine examination.
    • 1 round of qualifying/practice.
    • 2 rounds of racing for Championship points - all classes.

    Sunday 22nd September 2024

    • 2 rounds of racing for Championship points – all classes.
    • 1 round of combined racing without Championship points – all classes.

    Camping at the circuit is available for competitors on Friday and Saturday nights from $50 per vehicle per night (unpowered) - link tbc for booking and payment

  • Spring APS Classic at Manfeild
    Saturday 26 - Sunday 27 October 2024

    There will be a track run track day on Friday 25. Entries will be initially open to NZCMRR members, event competitors and all racing sidecars.  The track hopes that enough riders will enter so that they will not have to open it to the general public too. They will look at running 4 groups: Slow, Medium, Fast and Sidecar.  Members may enter a bike for the track day that is not entered for the Spring Classic.

    On-site camping over the weekend is allowed for this event for competitors and officials on Friday and Saturday nights.  Manfeild kindly allows the NZCMRR competitors and officials to stay onsite in non-self contained vehicles (ie vans and tents).  $10 per competitor/pit crew per night (unpowered) Book your site at When making your booking you are required to provide one main contact name (your role if you are an official or volunteer) phone number and email along with the names of anyone else camping with you.

  • APS 45th NZCMRR Classic Motorcycle Racing Festival
    Friday January 31 - Sunday February 2 2025

    We will be running 8 Race Groups (Classic 250, 350, 500 & Open, Post Classic Senior, F2 & Junior and Sidecars) and 1 Regularity Group, with a maximum of 40 on track in each group. Race Groups will be limited to 40 bikes on grid.  Initially entries will only be accepted by competitors who have competed in at least 2 NZCMRR events in the previous year.  After 10 days remaining grid spaces will be open to others.  Any entries received over the 40 in the Race Group will automatically placed on a reserve list, by entry, and put with the Regularity Group until there is space on the grid for them to rejoin their nominated race group.  Late entries will only be accepted at the discretion of the Race Secretary and providing there is room on the grid - a $45 late entry fee will apply.  Entry information, gate & camp passes and vehicle passes will be posted out 3 weeks prior to the event.

    Event souvenior programmes will be on sale at the gate along with event merchandise.  Walk through the pits to meet the racers and see their bikes, visit the Britten pits and other displays.

    Summary of information for competitors and volunteers (this will be confirmed/updated periodically):  Access to the race circuit Thursday Jan 30:  Infrastructure/officials only can access and set up the venue from noon, competitors can enter the circuit between 3-4.30pm to unload their bikes into pit garages (a $50 fee applies).  Only vehicles with 2025 Pit passes will be allowed into the Pits area. There is no track walk! 

    There is a separate Motorcycle Track Test Day on the Friday 31st of January.  The test day is exclusive to NZCMRR & NZSCA members and event entrants.  We may look at doing practice/qualifying on the Friday too.
